QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEDICAL CANNABIS
WHAT AILMENTS QUALIFY FOR MEDICAL CANNABIS IN MARYLAND?
Any individual who lives in the state of Maryland whose provider recommends medical cannabis as a treatment option for a qualifying medical condition is eligible to register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) as a patient. Patients in Maryland diagnosed with one of the following severe, debilitating or life-threatening medical conditions, are afforded legal protection under the Maryland Medical Marijuana law, as per the Natalie M. QUALIFYING MEDICAL AILMENTS
For Medical Cannabis Certification
ADMISSION TO HOSPICE OR RECEIVING PALLIATIVE CARE
A chronic or debilitation disease or medical condition that results in a patient being admitted into hospice or receiving palliative care.
CHRONIC OR DEBILITATING DISEASE OR MEDICAL CONDITION
A chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or the treatment of a chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition that produces:
· Cachexia
· Anorexia
· Wasting Syndrome
· Sever or Chronic Pain
· Severe Nausea
· Seizures or persistent muscle spasms
SEVERE CONDITIONS WITH FAILED TREATMENT OUTCOMES
Patients Diagnosed with severe conditions where other more traditonal medical treatments have been ineffective
GLAUCOMA
Patients who have been diagnosed with Glaucoma.
POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER
Patients diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, otherwise known as PTSD.
